Dear Friend,

We are building powerful intelligent systems, but intelligence without alignment is a danger we can no longer afford.

For centuries, the great quest of philosophy has been to discover a structured way to reason about values — a model to guide not only individuals, but entire civilizations. Aristotle grounded ethics in character. The Stoics pursued inner coherence. Thomas Aquinas synthesized faith and reason into a structured vision of moral life. Yet modernity fragmented this pursuit, leaving us with abstract principles but no cohesive, operational structure.

The Self-Alignment Framework (SAF) is that missing structure. It translates this ancient wisdom into a verifiable protocol for ethical reasoning — a self-correcting process for moral alignment in complex systems, from artificial intelligence to institutions.

And it is no longer only a blueprint. SAFi — the Self-Alignment Framework Interface — is the working engine: an open-source, closed-loop governance layer you can run today. It’s live, it’s benchmarked, and it’s in active development.

SAFi gives any organization sovereign control over its intelligent systems through four guarantees:

I did not invent these principles. My contribution is their synthesis into a coherent, computable architecture — and now, a real implementation we can build on together.

This is where you come in.

SAFi is open source (AGPL-3.0) and built in the open. If you’re a developer, researcher, or builder who believes alignment should be architecture, not an afterthought, there’s a place for you:

The question of how humanity aligns intelligence with values is being decided now. Your perspective, expertise, and code will shape the outcome.

Let us build the future of trustworthy intelligence, together.

Thank you,

Nelson Amaya
